Book of Canadian Wine

Melissa Priestley
melissa_priestley Photo MELISSA PRIESTLEY was not raised in a wine-drinking family -- the first wine she ever tried was a lowly Canadian jug wine served at the Thanksgiving table when she was 14 -- but since then, she has more than made up for her lack of early experience with the grape. She started working in the liquor industry at the ripe old age of 18, as an employee at a couple of wine boutiques. She has since gone on to write a weekly wine column for See magazine and become a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Melissa lives in Edmonton, Alberta, with her husband, Matt, and their cat, Jazz.
